For those of you who don't already know, Derick is back in the US and will be home to us on Thursday!! We are so excited, as you can imagine!
Believe it or not, it's hard to believe this year is almost over! I like to say, "The days went by slowly, but the weeks went by quick!"
It's been a year of ups and downs and I am so excited that it's finally coming to an end. I can't wait to see him in that airport and know that it's over. I hope I never have see him off in that Navy uniform again. One of the hardest things I have ever had to do is watch him walk away and out the door wearing that uniform.
To make a long story very short, Derick and I have decided to make Lincoln our home. I know, I know, we can't figure out where we want to set up shop, but I think, no wait, I KNOW this is it...for now :) Derick will return to his job as a Deputy Sheriff for Lancaster County Nebraska and I am currently looking for work! Tyson and I will move back to Lincoln once I find a job. In the meantime Derick will stay with his friend and come back to KC on his days off. Please pray that I find work quickly!!
Tyson, of course, is so excited for his daddy to come home! Here is a list of the newest things he'd like to do upon Derick's arrival:
"When my daddy comes home, he's going to take me to Chuck E Cheese's!"
"When my daddy comes home, he's going to show me how to hold a baby cow!" (Yes, this was on the list the last time Derick was coming home, and obviously we weren't able to check it off)
"When my daddy comes home, I'm going to go to school."
"When my daddy comes home, we're going to ice skate, and mommy you'll wear a dress and we'll all wear skates. And I want to skate dare (there)" (we were watching the Olympics so guess we'll be making a trip to Vancouver??)
Anyway, I will let you all know when and where we will all be moving to Lincoln, hopefully sooner than later!!
