Pumpkin Painting Fun!

Since today is just beautiful out I thought it'd be fun to attempt to paint pumpkins. As most of you know, this can be messy especially with a 3 year old. I didn't want to risk damaging any objects around us or ruining clothing so I bought washable finger paints to do the trick! I wasn't sure if this would even work, so I decided to by some spray adheisive to put on the pumpkins first to see if it'd help the paint stick. The paint kind of stuck in a goopy, gloppy manner but the pumpkins are painted and Tyson had fun!

Pumpkin Patch

We made a trip the the KC Pumpkin Patch today! It was very busy since it was the first nice day in a while! We had fun riding behind tractors, going down slides and having a snack! Tyson also picked out his very own 'punkin'.

Tyson chose a white pumpkin!

Waiting for a ride to go down the 'yellow brick road'. There were characters from The Wizard of Oz along the way!

Tyson wanted to place his pumpkin where he wanted! He said "Mommy, this punkin is too heavy for me!!'

He was very proud of his pumpkin!

Riding the 'train' at the Pumpkin Patch

This was a wooden train that kids could play and climb on

Tyson and I on a ride that was pulled by a big tractor

Tyson saw this dragon on the website for the Patch before we went and it was his mission to find it before we left. Well once we found it Tyson wouldn't go any closer to the fence than this and he didn't like the dragon anymore.

Uncle Jason and Aunt Anne-Mari's Reception in NE

Saturday we made yet another trip up to Nebraska to celebrate my brother's wedding with people who weren't able to attend the wedding in California! Tyson just LOVED my brother! He really latched on to him for some reason this weekend! It was good practice for Jason though, as he and Anne-Mari will have a little souvenir from their honeymoon in about 9 months!! Yes, I'm going to be an Aunt! I'm already an Aunt from Derick's side, but not my side of the family yet!!! We also were able to catch up with Kristine and Evelyn Placek and Tyson and Ev were able to play together for a couple hours! We also met my cousin Amy's baby Christina this weekend! She was born the begining of August. Amy's husband is currently in Iraq and he was able to come home for Christina's birth but had to leave about 2 weeks later.
