Slumber party!!

Mom bought Tyson a little people air mattress to sleep on since he's such a big boy now. Buddy wanted to sleep next to Tyson so they had a slumber party and watched Monster's Inc!

More Union Station

Weekend in Kansas City

We made a quick trip to KC this weekend to see my parents. While Mom hosted a Longaberger party the boys took a trip down to Union Station to see the trains!

They went to a restaurant called Fritz's. This train delivers the food to each table!

Triple Trouble

We spent the weekend at Derick's parents and his brother and family were back! Tyson had a blast playing with his big cousin's Braxton and Carson...they look so innocent in the pictures...

Yay for Spring!

Tyson was sent home from school "sick" on Monday because he had a couple gross diapers. He was perfectly fine so we took advantage of our day off together and played outside! Daddy came home from work while we were outside playing!!

Hot dogs!!

Tyson and Derick had hot dogs for dinner last night. Tyson wanted his in a bun like Daddy. So we let him. It was pretty funny to watch him try to get the whole thing in his mouth, I had to take pictures...

No more Binky!!!

We reached a very big milestone this weekend...we threw the binky away! Tyson was only allowed it at bedtime, he didn't get it any other time of the day. We decided that we need to get rid of the dang thing because it caused many fits when he would ask for it and we wouldn't give it to him. So Friday night was doomsday. When it was bedtime and he asked for it we told him we threw it away. We actually hadn't yet. I have to admit, Derick and I were a little nervous about getting rid of it as well. Anyway, we told Tyson that he's such a big boy now that he doesn't need it anymore. We put him to bed and he cried for a while. I gave in and went and rocked him for a bit to call him down. I gave him a little pep talk reminding him how big of a boy he is and that we're going to get him a special surprise to mark this eventful occasion! About the gift...we had planned on getting Tyson a play kitchen for Christmas. His cousin Ava has one and he loves it! He acts like he's cooking for us all the time at home with our Tupperware and spatula's so we knew he'd like one. We didn't end up getting one for Christmas as we were traveling and such and didn't want to haul it around with us. We're glad we waited because we got the one pictured (Elmo's Restaurant) for half price!! We were very excited! We brought it home Saturday and Tyson loves it! We threw the binky away Saturday afternoon and we haven't looked back! Saturday Tyson didn't get a nap in b/c we were at a family gathering all afternoon so Saturday night Tyson went to sleep before he could even think about not having it! Last night he went down about 8:45 and didn't wake up until 6:30!! We're very shocked and excited at how smooth this transition has gone!
